This week: Rangers located a new fenced farm, no people found, more to follow // Rangers and partners responded to a fire that broke in national park and successfully put it out, area approximately 20 acres, cause unknown // Joint operation led to the arrest of 1 suspect who was involved in bushmeat poaching // Report of a hyena with a wire on its neck seen on the waterhole camera, rangers searched but did not locate it // Rangers responded to the report of cow attacked by lion and found 4 injured cow, rangers diffused the situation // Rangers intercepted several vehicles and machinery that were headed to a farm with no relevant documents and turned away

This week: Rangers prevented elephant from crossing the crop protection fence in several incidents // Rangers responded to a call about 3 dogs that died after eating suspected poisoned meat, KWS vet responded to collect a sample for testing, rangers to monitor for a poisoning site // Rangers stopped development at a farm for lack of relevant documents // Rangers responded to the report of a herder being chased in settlement by an elephant, no one injured // Rangers responded to the report of an adult elephant carcass, ivory intact and recovered by rangers for KWS // Rangers stopped a borehole driller due to lack of relevant documents // Rangers responded to a community call and pushed away lion near settlements // Rangers and partner responded to a report of a suspected speared lion, tracks were found but not the animal, the next day it was spotted and determined that the spear injury on the leg was survivable and does not need treatment

This week: Rangers and partners made several arrests for possession of miraa, charcoal, and ivory // Rangers prevented elephant from crossing the crop protection fence // Rangers responded to the report that a lion was speared while attacking a cow inside boma, rangers determined the wound is not life threatening and will monitor, later sighting showed the lion was healing // Rangers intercepted a tractor at farm without documents, and at another location a borehole driller neither with relevant documents, more to follow // Report of feline stuck in between rocks, rangers responded and captured and released the Serval into sanctuary
